We believe AI should empower human reasoning, not substitute for it. Students learn how to leverage local LLMs to accelerate query drafting and log analysis while maintaining rigorous validation.

Malvika Mishra

Cyber Security Engineer · Lab Engineering & Instruction

Malvika Mishra is a Cyber Security Engineer at Cause Finder and a senior member of Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS). She holds an M.S. in Cybersecurity from the University of Maryland (2025), the GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) certification, and the GIAC Critical Controls Certification (GCCC). Her work includes cloud security assessments, control-gap analysis, and CMMC alignment. She previously worked in academic systems administration, supporting account provisioning, troubleshooting, software installation, and backup operations. At DEF CON Training Las Vegas 2026, Malvika served as a teaching assistant for the four-day Blue vs. Red with AI bootcamp. She helped prepare blue-team and red-team lab environments, Jupyter notebooks, and AI tooling, and supported technical delivery and student troubleshooting. Her IgniteCyber Academy contributions focus on practical investigations, threat hunting, evidence analysis, and validating AI-assisted findings against source evidence.
